1. Who is responsible for your data

Rental Klei is the trading name of Kleidjan Berberi, a sole trader (person fizik) registered in Albania. Kleidjan Berberi is the controller of personal data processed through rentalklei.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact rentalklei@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, account identifier, sign-in provider and authentication records.
• Booking information: the contact name, email and phone number you provide, the selected car, rental dates and times, pickup and return locations, extras, quoted prices and reservation status.
• Support information: information you send when contacting us about your account or rental.
• Technical information: session identifiers and service logs, which may include IP address, browser information, request times and errors, to operate and protect the website.

You can browse cars without an account. Account and booking details are needed to submit and manage a rental request; without them we cannot process that request.

3. Signing in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your basic profile information, such as your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier, to our authentication service, Supabase. This information is stored with your account and used to identify you, create or sign in to your Rental Klei account and associate your bookings with it.

We request only basic sign-in permissions: openid, email and profile. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar. Google account data is not sold or used for advertising.

You can remove Rental Klei’s access in your Google Account connections. Removing access does not itself delete existing Rental Klei account or booking records; contact us to request their deletion. Google also processes your sign-in under its Privacy Policy.

4. Why we use this information

We use account and booking information to take steps at your request before a rental agreement, manage reservations, communicate about pickup and return, and provide customer support. We process necessary technical information for our legitimate interest in keeping accounts and the website secure. Where applicable, we retain records to meet legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting prior lawful processing.

Rental requests are reviewed by Rental Klei. We do not use Google profile information for automated eligibility decisions or advertising profiles.

5. Who receives your information

Authorized Rental Klei staff use the information necessary to manage accounts, bookings and support. Supabase provides authentication and database services; Vercel hosts the website. These providers process information needed to deliver and secure their services. Google is involved when you choose Google sign-in. We may disclose records where required by law or necessary to address a legal claim.

Our service providers may process data outside Albania, including in Europe and the United States, under their data-processing terms and applicable transfer safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data. We do not sell personal information.

6. Browser storage and security

The website uses browser storage to maintain your signed-in session and remember functional preferences, including language and saved cars. On an address without a language prefix, the approximate country of the request may set the initial language; we do not request GPS location. Signing out ends the current browser session; clearing site data removes local preferences and may sign you out. Our application currently does not use advertising pixels. The OpenStreetMap map only loads when you open it; its provider receives the technical request, including the IP address.

We use HTTPS, authenticated access and access controls to protect account and reservation data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not share your password or sign-in links.

7. Retention and your choices

Account data is retained while needed to provide your account. Booking and support records are retained as needed to manage the rental, resolve disputes and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Retention depends on those purposes and obligations; deleting an account may not remove records that must lawfully be kept.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email rentalklei@gmail.com to exercise these rights or request account deletion. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Albanian Information and Data Protection Commissioner.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above. We will provide any notice or obtain any additional consent required before using your information for a new purpose.
